Facebook has rolled out a new feature that makes it possible for users to save links, places, music and other things for later use on Facebook.
One disadvantage of Facebook feeds or status updates is that the updates get missing, or disappear from your wall in the twinkle of an eye. This happens especially when you have a very busy wall, that is, when you have joined lots of pages or have lots of friends who constantly update their statuses. In such a situation, old updates get pushed down to make way for new ones. Additionally, you might also be in a hurry to read some of these updates, and the next time you visit your wall, you have to scroll deep down your page to get access to your old updates.
Well, if you were thinking of a way to curb this shortcoming or was just thinking it would be a nice feature if added, Facebook has just done that. You can now save links, places, music and other things for later use on Facebook, no need to use any third party app. The paragraphs below show you how to accomplish this.
Log into Facebook; find items you want to save for later use. These can be Links, Places, Music, Books, Films, TV Shows, or Events. Then right beside the title of the item, you will find the “save” link, which is an arrow that points down. Click on that, a lot of options will pop up; look for the one that reads “save ‘followed by the title of the item’”, just click on that, nothing will happen, but you have successfully saved that item for later use. Repeat the same process for any item you wish to save.
To view the saved links immediately, refresh the page, you will find on the left hand side of your wall, a link with the name “saved”, you will find all the saved items there.
