In this tutorial, I'm going to show you a new method on how to create pages and write post under them in blogger. You might have been searching for a way to create pages and write post under them in blogger or you have been using an old style to create pages and write post under them in blogger which you normally disgusts it. Am here to show you a new method on how to create pages and write post under them in blogger.
There has been a change in the way pages are created and posts linked to them in Blogger, as of the time of writing this post. In this tutorial, I take you through the steps involved in creating pages and linking posts under them.
STEP 1:
CREATE A LABEL
Click on “Posts” on the left side of your dashboard, a list of all the posts you have made will be shown. Put your cursor on any one of them, below the title of the post, you will find “Edit”: click on it.
When you click on Edit, the content of the post will open. On the right-hand side of the post you will find a list of options: click on the option, “Labels”. This is what we are going to use to direct posts to a specific page.
When you click on the Labels, a text area will appear below the label. Here, you enter the name of the label you want to create. Now it is advisable to name the label according to the page you want to create.
So in this tutorial, I have a post called post for page two which I want to post under a page called page two, so I will name the label page two. This will make it easier for you to identify which label belongs to what page. So assuming you want to create a page called tutorials, I will advise you to name your label, tutorials or tutorials-label.
Enter the name of the label and click on “Done”.Now you have successfully created a label for a specific page.
Now click on view blog and open your blog. Still under the Home page, look below the content of the post, you will find the name of the label you created, click on that label you created and then copy the link address of that label.
STEP 2
CREATE A PAGE
Now go to your dashboard and click on “Layout”. Find your page gadget and click on “Edit”
The page gadget window will pop up, scroll down and find “+Add link pages” and click on that. a window will pop up. You must then enter the title of the page and paste the link of the label you copied, that is the label you want to link to this particular page.
Click on save link. DONE!
A very simple way to create pages and write post under them in blogger.
SUMMARY
To Create a New Page And Write Posts Under Them:
- Create a new post
- Create a new label for that post
- View your post, find the label for the post below the content of the post and then click on that label
- Copy the link address of the label you have created.
- Go to your dashboard
- Find the page gadget and then click on “Edit”
- Scroll down and click on “+Add link Pages”
- Enter the name of the page and paste the link address of the label you copied
NOTE: Anytime you want to create a post for a particular page, you only have to choose the label that belongs to that particular page. That's all
