Hello, beauty enthusiasts! Welcome back to another brutally honest review, and this time, we’re diving headfirst into the world of blush. You loved my concealer-themed video, so I figured it’s high time to spill the tea on every blush I’ve ever tried. No sugar-coating, just honest opinions. Buckle up, because it’s going to be a bumpy (but blushy) ride.
1. Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Beauty Light Wand (Shade: Pinkgasm)
Let’s start with a universally known favorite – the Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Beauty Light Wand. If you’re on the hunt for pigment, this isn’t your go-to. But if you’re craving that shimmery sheen, this is perfect. Beware, though – it dries down faster than you can say “Pinkgasm,” so blend it in quickly.
Merit’s Cheeky Flush Balm deserves a spot in the hall of Fame for cream blushes. Creamy, great color payoff, and just the right amount of pigment. Plus, the application is a breeze – swipe it on, and you’re good to go.
3. Nudestix Nudies Matte Blush Stick (Shade: Cherie)
Nudestix Nudies Matte Blush Stick in Cherie offers not only a lovely shade but also a handy brush. The brush might not be the ideal tool for blending, but the blush itself is a winner. It’s easy to apply and boasts a beautiful mauve-pink hue.
Now, Benefit’s Benetint is a bit of a mixed bag. If you’re seeking a barely-there blush or a lip stain, this is your best bet. But the watery texture can be nerve-wracking when applying it to your cheeks. A slight misstep and you could be in trouble.
5. Milk Makeup Lip and Cheek Cream Blush Sticks
The Milk Makeup Lip and Cheek Cream Blush Sticks come with mixed feelings. They’re not as creamy as some others and require a bit of warming up. Once they’re ready, though, they’re easily buildable with good color payoff, and patchiness isn’t a common issue as long as you warm them up first.
6. Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blushes
Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Liquid Blushes are hyped for a reason. These are intensely pigmented, so go easy or risk looking like you just ran a marathon. On the plus side, they’re a breeze to blend, and patchiness is practically nonexistent.
7. Say Do Blush
The Say Do Blush is another liquid blush that stands its ground. Its shade selection is impressive, and the applicator is perfection. High color payoff, effortless blending, and no patchiness – what more could you ask for?
8. Glossier Cloud Paint Blushes
Ah, Glossier’s Cloud Paint Blushes. I used to be a devout member of the Glossier cult, but now, not so much. While they’re decently pigmented, they can be a little tricky to blend and have an unpredictable streak. Mixed opinions indeed.
9. Drunk Elephant Oh Blues Rosy Drops
This Drunk Elephant product had me wondering if I was missing something. Zero pigment, just a hint of shimmer. I used it on my face, and I swear I had to hunt for the color. Not a blush, more like a letdown.
10. Fenty Beauty Kilowatt Highlighter Duo
It may be labeled a highlighter, but Fenty Beauty’s Kilowatt Duo gives some serious blush vibes. Incredibly pigmented, it made me actually enjoy powder blush. The shimmer it adds is the cherry on top.
11. About Face Cheek Freak Blush (Shade: Smash)
The About Face Cheek Freak Blush in Smash is a rosy dream. Although applying it with precision can be tricky, it doesn’t usually result in patchiness. It’s a fabulous choice if you have a similar skin tone to mine.
12. Summer Fridays Blush Balm Stick (Shade: Dusty Rose)
The Summer Fridays Blush Balm Stick has an uncanny resemblance to Nude Sticks. Swipe, warm it up a bit, and you’ve got a winner. The Dusty Rose shade is pure elegance.
13. Rare Beauty Melting Blush (Shade: Nearly Berry)
The Rare Beauty Melting Blush in Nearly Berry isn’t as pigmented as its liquid counterpart, but it’s still a gem. The solid cream formula is user-friendly, making it a top choice for the winter season.
14. Tower 28 Beauty Beach Please Cream Blushes (Shade: Office Hours)
Saving the best for last – Tower 28 Beauty’s Beach Please Cream Blushes. Super creamy, has an excellent color payoff, and zero patchiness. Office Hours, a beautiful mauve-rose shade, is a personal favorite.
In conclusion, I’ve shared my brutally honest reviews of every blush I’ve ever tried. Whether you prefer creamy, liquid, or powder blushes, there’s something out there for everyone.
